Sea Breeze Beach House

The Sea Breeze Beach House studio is set in its own private garden which was designed by myself based on Derek Jarman’s seaside garden at Dungeness using shingle, shells, and wood.  This peaceful secluded garden has a contemporary seaside feel, and it is next to the main house, Awelon. During the summer, guests will be able to pick raspberries, blueberries, and redcurrants to have with their breakfast. Manorbier accommodation is south facing, so guests can either relax on the sun loungers for the day or choose to explore Pembrokeshire. The interior of the studio has an open-plan sitting room, and a compact kitchenette with a small 45-litre fridge.  A standard double bed with a pocket sprung mattress with an en suite shower room. There is a wood burner for chilly nights. There is a radiator in the studio and a towel rail in the en suite.   At night, guests can see the night sky and the stars from the bed through the sky dome in the ceiling. Guest’s can choose to have al fresco dining on the table and chairs inside or on the patio. A small portable barbecue is provided to use on the patio or take it down to the beach, a six-minute walk away from the beach house.

There is a Smart T.V with Netflix and Free Wi-Fi.

What is included:

I provide white Egyptian cotton bed linen, and a full set of towels for Manorbier accommodation, however, I do not provide beach towels. There is a hairdryer, a hanging rail in the cupboard, and local luxury eco Myddfai shower gel and shampoo.  An iron is available on request. There is a shaver point in the mirror in the bathroom cabinet.

The Welcome Pack

There is a small selection of Fairtrade teas and coffee provided with a small jar of real ground coffee from a local roaster for the cafetière.  The welcome pack includes a loaf of homemade bread, orange juice, small pots of homemade jam and marmalade, butter, and milk for the guest’s first breakfast. Guests can email me prior to their arrival if they wish to have gluten-free bread or milk alternatives.

There is a small amount of wood and kindling provided for at least one night if guests wish to use the log burner, and a small amount of charcoal for the barbecue. Extra wood and kindling can be bought at Manorbier shop.

PETS

I am sorry I cannot have any pets (including dogs) to stay at the beach house as I have two Cockerpoo dogs who live in the main house.

The Sea Breeze Beach House Location

Manorbier is a unique quiet picturesque coastal village. It is a three minute walk to Manorbier Castle and the Beach Break Cafe which is open during the day in the season February – October.  Guests can enjoy breakfast at the pretty cafe with its outdoor seating area if they prefer not to have breakfast at the beach house. The Castle Inn is a four minute walk away serving meals in the day and evening. This is popular local pub as there is a large permanent village community throughout the year. A short walk from the Castle Inn is the excellent well stocked Manorbier Post Office and Shop selling a wide selection of groceries, wine, and beers etc. There are small supermarkets in the beautiful seaside town of Tenby with is a charming harbour and stunning sandy beaches. Tenby is 15 minutes by car or regular hourly bus service from Manorbier.

There are several other places to eat breakfast locally.

Tenby has a wide variety of places to eat to suit all budgets, and I am more than happy to recommend places.

Other things to note

As it is a unique bespoke wooden structure it has a fully wired smoke alarm connected to the main house. A carbon monoxide monitor, fire blanket and fire extinguisher. All electrical equipment is PAT tested by an electrician each year and the wood burner is Hetas registered and the chimney is swept each year.

The electricity supply is linked to the main house where there are fourteen solar panels on the main roof and there is also a water meter at the property.
